This time, the client was Roosimaa Racing, who wanted to have our dash installed. <\/span><\/p>\n

It is a rallycross BMW RX3000 series car. <\/span><\/p>\n

This car had an older Ecumaster EMU ECU that does not have a separate Canbus output. It is possible to create a Canbus output for this ECU by purchasing a separate Canbus add-on module offered by Ecumaster. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, in this case, for cost-saving purposes, we utilized the Ecumaster RS232 Serial protocol. True, this also requires an additional module that attaches to the ECU and converts the data for our dash to read, but we made this ourselves and the electronics cost was 15-20 euros. <\/span><\/p>\n

On the dash side, there were also some changes to the visual aspect. The client wanted to display oil pressure instead of oil temperature, and we replaced the trip meter with fuel pressure. <\/span><\/p>\n

As a mounting solution, we used a previously used carbon-made tablet mount.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
