MITSUBISHI EVO X RALLY
Overview
- Car: Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X
- Goal: Build all electrical systems from scratch. Usage of many ECUMASTER products.
- Hours Spent(Roughly): 180
This Evo X rally project involved a complete wiring solution built entirely from scratch. Our work started with the design and manufacturing of a full motorsport wiring harness, followed by installation and setup of all required electronic systems.
The car was equipped with a range of Ecumaster products, all installed, and fully configured by us. These products are now also available through our e-shop or directly by contacting us, as we are an official Ecumaster reseller from now. A Cartek digital main power switch was also integrated into the system and is available through the same channels.
All electronics were connected via a custom CAN bus network, carefully configured to communicate with both the existing MoTeC M800 ECU and the Motec MDC2. This allowed modern motorsport electronics to work reliably alongside proven legacy systems.
As part of the wiring process, the factory ABS unit was removed. While this is often a challenging area for many builds, we implemented a clean solution by wiring the MDC2 directly to the wheel speed sensors, including custom work to retain and adapt the original Mitsubishi sensors.
The client came with a very clear vision of the final result, which made collaboration efficient and allowed us to focus on execution and detail. The outcome is a clean, robust, and competition-ready wiring system that perfectly matches the car’s purpose.
